Help PLEASE!!

I just signed up and downloaded the java and yayayay... but I have recently in the past have set salem to open with something else how do I change it to open with java?

Right Click --> Open With.
Select Java Web Start if you are using the launcher.

I am using windows 8 so I can't find Java Web Start..

It's not because of Windows but because you had, as you have said already, set other application to launch .jnlp files.
In this case, after selecting "open with" you have to click "browse", go to your java installation dir (probably something like C:\Program Files\Java\jre7), then to "bin" and then select "javaws.exe"
