New World Gourds purity when cooked

Postby Ph4nta » Fri Apr 04, 2014 2:49 am

soo I do have a 18% cupper pot, 10% water both blue, if i put in a blue gourd 0/1% the purity is increased to 5/6. is it intended to increase only that less? cause with such a high pot and the best water i thought it would increase a lot more

Yeah, they nerfed the amount of purity increase from a pot. That was part of the point of the mine nerf. Because a handful of people found high purity mines with a bug in woo woo wands and then made tons of high purity food from the resulting copper pots.

The nerf put to 0% all mines, pots, food, dowsing rods, and anything else that might possibly be affected by copper purity, and then reduced the influence of the pots.

so it makes no sense to higher ur dowsing rods and iron mines / copper mines as the purity of the copper pot is pretty much worthless now? I mean I heard bout the bug and that they took the percentages back to 0, so why did they went on and nerfed the influence of the pots if they took away the advantage ppl with the bugged mines had

Because they tend to overreact.

The pots were a little strong. They're kinda weak now, but then, all the purity is broken. Myself, I try for a few percent, but I don't think the small return you can get is worth the hours upon hours of work it takes to find 'high' purity water and such. :/

Hey, don't tell her that. If she knows how easy it is she might go looking for it.

You should be able to get 10+ foods with a 40+ pot. It doesn't sound like a lot, but I believe it to be worthwhile.
Also, one can't judge by purity percentage alone, two 10% blue items may drop in quality drastically when combined, if their elements composition is very different.
