Gardening & purity

Postby _Gunnar » Tue Mar 11, 2014 12:18 pm

Can someone explain how this works to me please?
is this right?:
1. The pot purity seems to combine the purity of the clay, granite, and lime in equal proportions.
2. The purity of the output will be some combination of input plant, pot, humus, and water+ a random factor

If anyone knows how the purities are combined in 2., and what the random factor is, I'd really appreciate it. Is it possible to grind plant purity beyond the purity of the pot/humus/water (like in haven you can grind farm quality beyond soil quality)?

ad 2: the most limiting factor will be the purity of the humus as it is a major pain in the back to raise it. Therefore you will almost always end up somewhere between the purities of the "ingredients". The random factor is not that high, on Plymouth i have had differences around max. +-3 in the highest element value.

The two most annoying things on Providence are now: finding high purity water and foraging high purity lime/granite of the proper element.
In feudalism, it's your count that votes...
