You can add Raging Bullhead to the worm list btw.

add raging bullhead to the single cereal seed list too.

15 cereal seeds just caught me 3 raging bullheads and a pike-nosed lake perch overnight.

okay, I have no problem catching fish, I just drop crap in it, like waxing mushies, berries, woodshavings, grass, chesntuts.. pretty much the dross that I dont feel the need to hoard.

Am I right saying it can only be placed in DEEP water? cos when i try in the shallows, it just sits on top.

how does one actually place a fishtrap? I tried picking it up but I can't drop it on the deep water tiles, can't swim out there while lifting an item and tried standing over edge of a deep water tile and logging off... fishing trap disappeared.

Any advice?

Very close to the edge between the shallow and deep water, make sure it's partly submerged.

This will cause any item you carry to disappear. Never have been sure if this was intended or a bug.

I had always assume it would just drop the item, I suppose its intended so when you log back on it isn't occupying your space. Wish I had thought that one through more.

You can tell it's in a proper spot when it starts bobbing a little. Meat scraps are good bait, as are any kind of mushroom. I'm not a huge fan of fishing, so I like this fish trap very much.

So I was thinking that I would start a new thread where we try and figure out this mechanic a bit more thoroughly rather than this help thread which is mostly for people that don't realise the trap has to be in deep water.
