Boiling birch bark stopped working

Postby freshwelkyr » Tue Feb 25, 2014 5:37 am

On my 3rd or 4th batch of birch bark, the progress bar gets to about 40%-60% then stops. I left it for a few hours and the progress did not continue. I also tried to take off the pot and put it back on to reset the system, didnt work. The fires are lit and the pot does have water in it. Anyone know why this could be happening?

What is the water level in your clay pot? If it is around 30% or 10% it will stop working.

If that is not an issue then try to take the pot off the fire, make sure the fire is on, and put the pot, filled with 5L of water, back on the fire. Repeat. If that does not work then report back in.

I let the fire burn out and lit a new one and it worked. I dont know what was wrong with the last fire.
