Lost fields and timber piles

Postby AndieRan » Sat Nov 09, 2013 8:21 pm

Today, when I logged into the game, I noticed several unusual things around my house, which is a remote hermit style settlement:

- 5 fields which should be harvestable are gone, the fields no longer exists
- 3 timber piles which I gathered recently are gone (the piles were definitely not dry yet)
- all my gardening pots are empty
- all my charcoal clamps are gone
None of this happened on my claimed land, only around it.

I have no idea if the things are missing because of some game bug, or if someone took or destroyed them. Is there some way how to learn what has hapenned?

Most likely someone just took those things. 99%

Well, given the only field which is left is the one which is partially on a claimed land, I guess this is most likely.

However, what has surprised me:
- why (and how) would anyone take timber piles which are not dry yet?
- why did not the fields stay there, even when empty? Do empty fields disappear quickly?
- how could someone take away that many items? I guess about 200 items is gone or perhaps more (only the charcoal itself was 4 piles, i.e. about 150 pieces)

It may have been someone griefing you so they may have just destroyed everything that was not on claimed land. Which would explain why the fields themselves are gone and tiber piles that were not harvestable yet.

Basically it was certainly only to piss you off, cause well, there's a lot of players that love to piss people off.

If it's not on claimed land, expect it to not be there when you return. I do stuff on unclaimed land a lot of the time but it's always a calculated risk that someone might pass by and level it all.

Fields don't decay so somebody had to go out of their way to destroy them.
