I haven't played since my little base was wiped, everyone keeps saying to get a Town Bell going, I believe a Town Bell will cover my area of operations completely ...but I have some questions.
1) I already have a p claim down around 1500m area, should i get rid of this?
2) If no, should the Town Bell be place inside of this claim?
3) Whats the monthly cost for a standard Town Bell? Is it 1220 silver ish?
4) Can a very casual player be able to keep up with the costs via Cotton Planting?
5) For defense, I think i read you should have at least construction posts with 1 thingy built all around the town claim area to prevent people to come in ..
Is this correct?
1 - when you're living alone in a town bell, personal claims which are inside the town claim are AFAIK totally redundant (someone correct me if this is wrong, I'd like to know) except for spawning alts. Just let it run out of cash and rebuild a tiny one for that purpose. Braziers still work on vclaims from what I've heard (again, someone correct me if this is incorrect)
2 - Is the pclaim larger than the town bell area would be? You're probably better off expanding your vclaim to the required size with authority objects and letting the pclaim expire.
3 - Somewhere around there yeah, sorry don't know the exact number :'(
4 - Yes, it's not hard to keep up on the costs once you have some sort of steady flow of cash. You can even support it via hunting small game if you absolutely had to.
5 - Depends on whether you have any overgrown, chaotic players living near you *cough*darwoth*cough* Do you mean torch posts? If you're investing in a vclaim you're going to want to have braziers and stone hedges at the minimum for when someone drops a waste claim *cough*darwoth*cough* But yes without someone dropping a waste claim a makeshift fence with locks will keep you safe.
