the 420 corner

A thread to get ripped and babble about *****. Talk about weed law and/or reform, ***** that the dog tipped over your bong, or ramble on about your favorite strain, I'm a kush guy, but my favorite is the crushing indica feel of black garlic, Jorb hits me as a hash connoisseur, and Loftar probably can't get any because he looks like he's 16 or so.

Would love to hear from anyone in colorado/washington get in on this..

So how much of the US has legalised weed now? It was all over the place when I visited California, I've never smelled so much weed in public before.

Fully legal and regulated in Colorado and Washington state, 26 (?) states have medical now, although a few of those are "extract only" states (cbd pills). And a random scattering of city's are decriminalized down to anything an ounce or under is a low fine. Early sales numbers from just Colorado are something like 22 million a month statewide.. Although in sure alot of that is from tourism lol

I'm interested in the socio-economic impacts over the long term so I haven't checked up on the situation in a while. Never heard of a stoned person shooting, stabbing or assaulting someone but I can't say the same for drunks. I have heard of a lot of stoners never getting work though.

Industrially it seems to produce what is perhaps the best natural fiber. Making paper from the fibers also seems like a much better alternative than the current method of using pulpwood. I think a lot of the other proposed uses are marginally useful if not outright unreasonable however.

Well, to cover both of those points, after being regulated a year, Colorado's crime rates went down 7% for property damage and something like .4% down for violent crimes.. As for hemp, Kentucky and north Carolina legalized production.. Google, Kentucky hemp seeds, and see what comes up, lol, its a great read

I didn't start smoking until halfway through my first year of college but it's a decision I will never regret. Before that point in my life, especially in high school, I was a very shy and closed off person and awkward as ***** in pretty much any social situation. Not the worst of the introverts though that's for sure and I was never really picked on more than anyone else in school.

In any case though, I like to think of it like those weight loss commercials. "Before Smoking Weed" and "After Smoking Weed" and I'm much happier with the person I've become since then. Presently, I generally tend to make friends very easily and I don't have much trouble holding a conversation with strangers. My self-esteem since the days of grade school has improved drastically and as cheesy as it sounds, I wake up in the morning feeling confident in myself. I'm doing well in school and I likely go back in September to finish my course as I've been out working full time for the co-op portion right now.

The point I'm trying to make is that although one can accomplish the same and much, much more in life without ever touching a single substance, that's not what I'm getting at. Smoking weed is what allowed me to be more comfortable with my personality and in turn not give a **** about what other people think. Not to mention so many people smoke that it's such a convenient way to meet new people and start conversations and actually have something in common that you can do together/talk about.

It's also affected my taste in music. I was huge fan of the oldschool rock and roll music scene and I do still listen occasionally but now for me it's really all about the rap/hip-hop ****.

I won't really list any strains that I prefer because to be honest I don't have a favourite. I've been smoking for about 5-6 years now so if it gets me baked, I like it. Lately though I've been buying the oil/wax stuff which I am really digging.

Nah man, I'm not talking Lil Wayne or Nicki Minaj or 2Chainz, etc. I listen to that real ****, ok? And I feel like had it been reversed and I listened to rap/hip-hop I may have just gotten in to the rock and roll instead because both genres are great to get ripped and listen to.
