Hobby Development

Jorb:Loftar;

As it says in the title... this is your hobby; and if it makes a profit...win...and if doesn't...who cares? That's right isn't it? That's the gist over the months and replies I've see to date. A lot of vitriol from me personally... all bent on one angle... gaming for profit; but that's not your angle is it?

Every gamer thinks his influence is in his pocketbook ( I did too ), but if the developer doesn't care about the profit... what leverage do we have as consumers...NONE.

I like a lot of the things you implemented with new world... though it's taken me time to appreciate them... thanks for not over-reacting on any BS post I might have made till now.

FFU
INSP pool
#value of INSP

etc..

I love the new trees- hell I have directed my cohorts to make tree wall with new hickory tree... nuts aside- it's one handsome tree.. even miniaturized. (Note- after 2 hours in test tubes- it never changed.... possible bug?!)

I don't care much for the Willow, but it does add to ambiance.. I'll give you that for free...and perhaps that's all it was intended for. ?

All said- my group is up to alchemy. Tiered fields- easy, eating- easy... most are 70+ and would be eating 5x a day but for work.... and I'm =ready to pass leadership and bail.

I know development is tertiary to you personally Jorb/Loftar.. but when you put out the alchemy sets... most thought alchemy mattered... the sets did have bit of polish...

However, I can't keep 6 more peeps in the game... plus myself... without some hope beyond the BS that alchemy as begun known by... we have 30 timber piles going... in a week... the plank wall will be done... fi I tell them alchemy is a bust...and it has been to date... what then.. leave? Bail on this game? What encouragement should I give this group of adventures to play... OR should I have encouraged them at all?![/size]
Is there an alchemy fix on the horizon? I get it- you don't care if we refuse to spend money... what silver's that been spent has been mine alone... quickly approaching the point that I'm out and they will have to decide... is it worth the grind? IDK>

I'm not asking the trolls in general and I'm not asking IRQ...I'm asking here- in Salem forums.

Jorb/Loftar: (SP)... can't praise and curse you in the same sentence and still have any dignity to stand on after.

Is an alchemy fix imminent or should I advise my town to play ESO when it launches and come back to Salem in 6 months or so... I know you don't work to anyone's deadline, but surly 6 months is a fair objective?

You have included a lot of terrain and additions that add to eye candy... but I can think of similar movies that did the same... I can watch them once, twice...maybe three times.. but after... 4-100? Maybe in 6 months or never.

Skip the eye-candy and get down to business... or this is all the population you will ever see or deserve...

It is what it is... Jorb

thanks for you consideration!

Viewed another way- the eye candy...the new trees, spiders, terrain... this is all icing. The cake however is half-baked. It doesn't matter how much icing you apply to it... the cake is still half-baked and tastes like ****.

S0- please finish baking the cake... before adding icing.

Got it now?!

I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

From time to time they listen to the community, Despite how many great ideas that has been suggested they keep to their own ideas mostly.
that's just how it is :)

And they are not in it for the cash, they have declined several good offers for the game as far as i know.
