on a funny side note, no matter where you are in the country if you ever find yourself on a "martin luther king street" you better be armed and keeping your head on a sqivel.
King is a hero because he stood up to the power establishment that was preventing black people from voting. He demanded equal rights and led the movement to get them.
You say he's a *****, a comunist and a piece of ****, then prove it. Post any proof of it here on the forum from a reputable source. Find some sane non Aryan Power website that says any of that. Yes he had affairs. Yes he helped and supported left wing socialist organizations and labor unions. No he wasn't perfect. Yes he slept with a white woman. He may have actually slept with a prostitute like I'm sure many, many presidents have as well.
Our last three presidents have smoked weed and the last two have done coke. Reagan cheated on his first wife multiple times. I doubt there's a president or great person out there without very human faults. Why shouldn't we celebrate MLK's life as much as any of their's. He changed the world and our country for the better as much as any of them.
We name streets after and celebrate other great people even though they sometimes did horrible things. We still get Columbus day off even though he enslaved most of the native population of the Dominican Republic. We celebrate Washington and Jefferson even though they owned slaves and possibly fathered children by them (probably not with George and almost definitely with Jefferson).
In my home town of Madison, WI, Martin Luther King Drive is one side of the state capital and the City/County Building and Federal Building are on it. The Governor's offices are 1 block off it. In other towns I've been to it's generally one of the main streets. I don't know where you're getting your ***** information but you're wrong again.
