Purity Discoveries

Some seemingly universal truths about resources I had to learn the hard way...

1. Purity Granite tends toward the equator vs darkness
2. Purity Lime tends toward darkness... best I've found so far is 7% on Roanoke in d12
3. Purity ORE
A. Purity copper is found in darkness
B. Purity iron is found near equator... I sunk 8 shafts in total; but last 3 cinched it for me using same 41% rod (iron I bought at market). At d61... 39%; at d37....25%, at d62.75 (just outside darkness)... 49%. I can't wait to see what I get even closer to equator!
C. I sunk a shaft a d10 in the South two weeks ago... 2% sulpher. Seriously.
4. Worm % vs Board is majorly bugged. The hard cap appears to be 15% for any bin not over 50% purity. Whether your worm efficiency is 24%, 32%, or 100%+... even if those worms are 88%... 15% is the max no matter what.


#4 is the reason I will likely take off. If it's a bug...great... let Jorb fix it rapidly; but I've spoken to folks who have been around FAR longer than I...and they say it's normal. Normal? I'd send a nasty note to the Devs... wait I've done that... and it was useless.

Had a new thought on Jorb. He's living on family money... he's a rich kid with no worries or obligations... Salem? Who cares... it's like asking about an ant hill in your 5 acre yard that you can't even see if you sit on the porch sipping whiskey!

Hey kid- got a great game... but you are squandering your big opportunity... big time. If I give up on the time I've spent on this game- that's admitting I wasted my time here... that you and Salem were a waste of time. I'm only human... don't expect me to reverse my decision or opinion down the road...when you wake up to the 'real world'.

Could you post sample sizes for minerals that are missing from your list? Based on the 8 iron nodes you built a mine on, you really can't draw any conclusions about iron purity distribution; the sample size is much too small for that.

9% lead and 8% merc
value 46-47 +

It's no metter darkness or not/

Many of the assumptions made in the OP are not correct. My best guess is the sample size was not large enough.

Ive always believed that the purity distribution is like a render clouds image from Photoshop (noise distribution map)

If true that would mean control over a few areas of the map is vital. If the population ever grows I could see towns attempting to control these areas and shoot anyone on site.
