Salem Advertising

Postby Claeyt » Thu Oct 24, 2013 6:26 pm

So this was posted on KSI Global Gaming Network the other day thanks to an amazingly great job by Embryanna and her friend BlazZze.

I encourage everybody to join the site and 'like' the info/news posting to get it noticed.

...and for god's sake Lorb make a new info video for us to use to help you promote the game.

"a brand new MMO" ?

Well anyway, in this state, this game won't attract a lot of people I think. That's why I don't remember who said that promotions about the game were not such a good idea, since it's as much players coming to try the game and leaving as fast to never come back. But well, whatever...

The author of that articles seems to think that there are witches and ghouls in Salem.

why would you want to promote it NOW, especially when we all know they are making quite a big change sooner or later...?
another batch of players who most likely misunderstand coming with wrong expectations, yet again...

Advertise it! Yes! With the good message tho!

I'm a new player, started 2 weeks ago and brought a lot of friends with me. We were looking for a different type of game and we understand that this is all Beta and might evolve a lot, we are fine with it. I personnaly wish I had heard of it before. So yes, advertise it. Some people my be desapointed... but out of the couple people that will rage quit, some other will stick around.

Just my two cents.

After playing this game for a year, I've come to realize that the 'Big Fix' or 'Gluttony Fix' is always going to be right around the corner and we might as well promote it now and get people interested. Now if our legacy humour monsters could just give the 'perma-death' aspect of the game a rest and let these new players learn the game for a little while we might start growing again. I'm hoping the Tribe comes out with their training videos soon to help with the steep learning curve. :D

"Also know that we, as KSI, have a server to use known as “Roanoke”. If you play is game, please use the server name provided. " hmpf !!!

Anyway, I've got a serious question. It looks like there's... a sun... or something on that video  The colors have more contrast, and the game looks... warmer. Why isn't it the case in the actual game !?

god claeyt is such a ***** moron, guess he did not comprehend what it meant when EVERYONE already told him NUMEROUS times that any influx of new players at this point until the game is more polished would be detrimental to the game because they will leave and tell others not to play.

did not go to the website, but i love the quote implying that whoever the ***** "ksiblobal" is was "provided" roanoke to play on, as if not only anyone has a clue who they are but that they are "special" and were "provided" with anything at all
