50 shades of Mushroom Pie..

Given that Mushroom pies have 2 variables that control the Gluttony levels i figured i could make a pic of the different affects that each variable has. i made pies crusts from oatmeal, rye, barley, and wheat. Also i filled them with 5 different type of mushrooms. Given 1 or 2 of the pies have a 1% purity, they are still close enough to base to get a good understanding of how each crust interacts with each type of mushroom to alter glutton levels. Feel free to use this information and picture to make a comprehensive guide to food and gluttony. (If anyone wants to take the time to do all that, i will try to post more pics like this as time goes on to help new players understand the game better)

An attempt was made in the Alchemist Cookbook thread and your info is exactly the kind of stuff needed to help people out :) Sadly the way ingredients interact can only be accurately described with some mathematical formulae, and not everyone likes bothering with stuff like that. I was actually working on some of the mushrooms before I quit, for lack of things to do. I do however confess that the game still attracts me, especially the theorycrafting sides to it like cooking and alchemy/purity grind, so I might return when the game is more fleshed out :) Cheers for the data, i'm sure a lot of new players will find it useful.

This is great stuff and I encourage you to keep up the good work. Even if people have a difficulty "Theorycrafting" how the different tiers interact with the base product things like this still make it very easy for a new player to just look at and determine what their output will be.

It is unfortunate that rye and barley basically have the same exact effect. Was hoping they might have some unique characteristics amongst them.

They don't have the same effect, there just aren't that many recipes available to make the differences count. Rye is better for phlegm, especially if the original food values have high black bile as well. Barley is better for black bile when the original food also has high phlegm values. The formulae for the various flours are in the cookbook thread.

I would love to see one of these for meat pies, it has 3 variables.

holy guacamole @lavander blewit mushroom pie
and they say purity nerf broke the game and still need to get fixed, only by looking at those values you can clearly see that nothing is farther from the truth

You make things so much more difficult...
1. Sugar caps go for mass production as pottables. They provide best blood pies.
2. Blewits are more rare but are good for YB when you are not lazy enough to avoid foraging by planting corn and using corn puddings for YB.
Others are worse for gluttony and sometimes poisonous. Why bother?
