After reading on the H&H forums, that you guys intend to build H&H code back up from the scratch, I do wonder what that implies for Salem development.
Since all I've read so far is conjecture, it would be really nice if the devs could shed some light on their views.

There are 1098 hearthlings playing.
Salem:
Users 39
Users 40
Users 43
HnH, has x10 more players than salem.
Sad times.
PS: Why would the devs continue to develop Salem, when its clear which game the people seem to want ?
I want salem, but yea. Even the Candy gang are considering hopping to HnH to give it a try (none of the CG have ever played HnH)

I wouldn't say that HnH is better.
It's just more stable, more people are used to it and it's better documented (due to its age and stability). If people want to build factions and wage war then HnH is more suitable for that.
Although it may also be the fact that Salem is missing plenty of features which were promised so long ago - witchcraft, mounts, animal husbandry, modified combat system, proper mining and metallurgy.
On top of that we still don't know if Salem is in testing phase ot it's released already. On one hand

Martinuzz, if you dial back on the forums about a year and a half (when Salem was first announced), jorb made the exact same statement. Doesn't mean they're going to do that right this moment. They're reminding everyone there's not much else they can do until they can give the game a good 3-6 months (maybe more) to rewrite the core code.
