Neverwinter ?

Postby alloin » Mon May 06, 2013 1:00 pm

Anyone playing this game ?

It's a fun F2P game with a balanced cash-shop ¦]
No open-pvp, no full loot, no permadeath... but still fun now & then

discuss...

I played STO for awhile whne it was in open beta and just after launch. My fingers hurt from doing massive curving loops to kill everything.

Not a bad game but it lacked depth.

As a huge fan of Neverwinter Nights I can safely say that Neverwinter has no draw for me. =(

I have so many hours logged on NWN 1 and 2 (even 2 was fun).

The indepth character customization is gone, DnD rules combat is gone. However it has fun action paced combat similar to Mass Effect. It is surprising how much content is available in quests, dungeons, skirmishes for a completely F2P game. Cash shop mainly becomes a factor endgame with gear optimization but if you're just looking to experience the game that becomes a non-issue along the way.

I thought about it but it honestly looks like any other MMO people throw out there. I'd play it if others were but just picking it up nah.

I do however get my yearly DDO cravings and have to roll a new character.

Neverwinter sadly has nothing to do with the brilliant Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter's Night, it's just a very mediocre MMORPG with a lot of grind and the usual F2P/P2W balance problems.
The shooter style combat is fun for a few minutes though.

That being said it's not a bad game, it's just not a good one either.
