I'm curious. Would you allow Salem neighbours near your claim and how close would you accept them to settle?

I've been living in Ruin Land for quite some time with only 3 notable hermits roughly 20+ map tiles away from my claim. Recently, what looks like a January newcomer (wears the free clothing we got), has set camp way below 20 tiles away and is expanding despite me leaving clues of inhabited area. Either they're incredibly stupid and can't explore properly, or they just don't give a damn.

Before the purity updates i would be glad if someone would settle nearby. Now there are something like 6-8 5%-purity spots near my base, which i would not like to be covered by pclaims

Hmm I wonder if the person has found something I haven't. The lands around me are less than 5% in purity.
