The aaaaaarghhh factor

Postby BubbaMKII » Fri Apr 05, 2013 4:40 pm

Walking for hours to find decent water
Find a lake which is nearly impossible to reach
Find 3% purity water with the wrong alchemy
On the third bucket accidentally left click
Bye bucket!
"Are you sure you want to lose your bucket?"
nah
Walk back for an hour, dodging sheer mountainsides at my level, to get back to my base

I hate you now because until yesterday it was the greatest game i ever played.
Now it's just a ****** grinder where you are forced to wander around instead of having the, very fun, choice to do so.

Bleh!

Which will be joined by your tears when nobody is going to play this game because it's no fun but too much of a chore, you're left with 5 people like you showing each other your 100% seeds in Boston and talking about when there were actually people playing.

Your life is easier when you're not a loner. Either make some alt accounts and alt-tab to their windows so you can scout while you maintain your production, leveling, etc and etc or join someone else and divide the grind work into smaller pieces.

This is a free-to-play game sure, but that doesn't preclude you from avoiding some of the grind by playing smart.

--edit--

Wow. Any reason for taking such a **** on Bubba's thread, Starjax and Dallane?

Dallane always posts like that, and I was merely pointing out the flaw in Mr. Bubba's logic. Also, City Upon a Hill...but why are you trying to derail?

people have been saying that about this game and hnh for years and you know what people will still play it.

If you are really upset over something as easy to make as a bucket you need to stop playing this game now.

I have no friends that want to play this, one of them actually said "my eyes!" and thought it looked **** and the perma death/people raiding you/can't trust nobody things were not much fun so she didn't even got past go.

I like to do everything myself really, gives me something to do though there are limits to what i think remains fun.
Making a bucket isn't the point, even though for a real newb without a smelter it might be completely **** to lose one.
The point is walking for hours and losing the only bucket you carry to look for a good water source due to a miss click.
That you now have to search for proper water and other ingredients because you just started and don't have every imaginable type of flour is just a ****** new "feature" which makes it a grind instead of fun.

Also, it's Miss Bubba(licious)

If you're just coming on here to complain about that then why even post in the general forum about it? Goto the suggestion forum and type out a well thought out and reasonable post.

Losing one bucket is fairly trivial when you know what you're doing unless there's some overriding strategic necessity for nails and wood. As for your ally issues, you should consider going here.

Because left clicking a bucket over water was general stupidity.

On a side note, my 91% purity seeds just got me 0% cereal.
Can i complain about that or?
