I wonder if you realize the significance of this statement. People have been telling you for a long time that other factors besides whether or not guns are available are the main influence on violence and murder. Are you finally starting to realize that?

I am not really interested in a gun/no-gun debate, but that one looks funny, does that mean murica has ... a lot ... of poverty? :P

when i was a kid i frequently did not have food on the table and would have to hunt for meat to make a soup or stew for my sisters and me, we also had no cable, fancy clothes or other *****. we also did not collect government assistance of any kind. poverty ain't just in the cities among minorities claeyt, try going through appalachia sometime where even today many people do not have electricity.

I wouldn't count not having a "must have tech" as poverty, I personally know a rather common village in Russia where people have no running water, once because there is no central supply, and second because they just don't want it, there like every house has a well in the garden, and they do have electricity, they build the houses themselfs anyways and it would not be much to lay some pipes...
Not having food though is pretty much as poor as is gets.

If there is so much poverty in the USA, how do you keep society stable?
And how is there no uprising?

3 or 4 rich people tax can cover the whole assistance of the us. (so said the Us guide itself while i was un US. No idea how to confirm this but it's not incredible)
THat's why the US system can't be successifully exported outside. There are many factors that prevent US from collapse. Lots of land to exploit, the accumulation of the rich people of the world, and many more.
Without these, a country with the US system would fall in self destruction.

They do what they can because they literally "can", not because it is efficent.

Because I'm taxed around 600$ every paycheck so some ******* who doesn't want to work can buy cigarettes, beer, mountain dew and doritos.

Poor ones aren't the lazy ones.
Poor ones are who doesn't have food and home.

I doubt that who don't have food and home spend his life enjoying your money.

a large majority of the people in "poverty" in this country the way people like claeyt reference them are not people who grew up like i did, instead they are lazy bums that have a big screen tv, cable, a 5 year old car and free "food" stamps that they use for cigarettes and junk food or trade for money to buy drugs.

then they have more and more single parent children that also grow up to be losers because the more they have the more free **** they get.

when i got my first job as a teenager even my broke ass had to pay my share for these parasites.
