When someone says they can't answer or show up for a Real Life issue... what's your first impression? Not looking for your actual knowledge of the perp... but the reflex solution!

No clue why you're asking, but anyone on the internet who says they have a 'real life thing' they have to do, means they're getting off the computer for awhile or that it's something personal they don't want to talk to you about.

Granted; but as a friend, coworker, etc... what do you think it means?

Should've named the topic "How paranoid are you and what are your insecurities/main worries that you like to project" xD I'm with Meow on this one, it'll usually mean they have something that they prioritize way above gaming and that doesn't even warrant a more explicit excuse than what was offered. Unless you have reason to think anything else it usually mean they're busy and not much more.

If I don't know anything about them, I dont really think anything at all, because it could be too many different things (phone call, important e-mail, getting clothes out of the drier before they wrinkle, dog is chewing something--you name it).

If I know they have kids I usually assume it's some parental obligation.
