Anyone watching the ESL CSGO tournament? I'm banking on SK winning this one

I am not that much into shooters but I was surprised to find out how most of the guys who are good at those actually aim.
I always thought that they have their sensitivity high and use short precise wrist movements to shoot stuff, turns out, however, most have those big ass mouse-pads, sensitivity low and use arm movements to snap to target and wrist to adjust aim.
Is that something many people do? I mean, I always had relatively high mouse speeds, so that I wouldn't need picking mouse up and could move the cursor from corner to corner in an effortless wrist flick, but then again, I was never good at shooting stuff.

But yeah, anyway, as for the tournament, I tried watching it out of curiosity, but somehow CS:GO didn't look all that compelling to me.

I use high DPI but low ingame sens, like 2000 dpi and 1.2 sens (Default is 6)
Pros play at around 1.3 and 800 but thats too low for me with my little mouse pad. To give a perspective, I can do exactly one full 360 turn before I have to pick up my mouse. Its my preference because I like to use the sniper and flick shot

The guy in the video I've been watching could do almost a 360 in a full arm swing - from side to side. Although he said that's irrelevant since you never gonna do that - what's important is a quick 180 in a swing from the middle of the pad. Like you use the arm for turning and the wrist for aiming - something like that.
I know it may sound silly to people who already know all this, but to me it was almost mind blowing, I was like: "holy **** that actually makes a lot of sense"

That is exactly what my sensitivity is designed for - full distance from left to right is 360, from middle is 180.

I don't think I could live with that. Never played much shooters, but my sensitivity/dpi is turned so high it's typically not possible for me to be pixel perfect (i.e. just moving a single pixel is a chore). Most people picking up the mouse on my work computer literally can't use the computer because they can't control the mouse.

Then again, that's the result of living with a set-up where my mouse has about 5 centimeters of moving space left and right

Since I don't know how it goes in shooters: is acceleration ever used in that context ? I can't stand it on my computer, it's always the first thing I turn off.
