What a dirty cashgrab.

I advise everyone to stay away from this greedy developer.

There are so many salem/hnh -like games emerging lately.
Would be nice if at least one turns out to be somewhat decent.

Not a single male player model in any of those screenshots and very few in the artwork. Try it if you want man, but seeing the pay to premium crap turns me off. If it were a free game, it wouldn't be so bad, but it's got a price tag on it. It's a bit shady that the only reference to the premium is the "X days of premium" in the bundle options.

My suggestion, before you commit any cash to this, check the games forums/wiki just to see what the climate is like and see exactly how filled out the game is content wise.

In my attemptedly unbiased opinion, this seems like some kind of Salem-lite or maybe even Haven-lite(without accusing anyone of copying anyone). They're an indy studio who is paying for an mmo out of their own pocket, so when approaching this game, it might be best to judge it like you might have judged Haven back in 2008. That being said, unlike both Salem and Haven, this lacks whimsy. Salem and Haven are clever blurs of history and folklore that tickle my jimmies, like delicious jam or honey that you put on toast for a tasty snack. This game is just dry toast. Maybe even a little stale (no idle animations? What kind of third world experience is this?) It's clearly in competition with Salem and Haven as a crafting sandbox with PVP, but as far as I can tell it doesn't have permadeath. The developers also announced that they were going to change the graphics/sprites to 3D, which will be a huge step up, but for a game that's already been in development for this long to change something so major to the feel of its game kind of makes it feel like they may not have the most concrete vision of their end product. I'm not sure I would have confidence in a game like that enough to invest in it with cash shop purchases, but since it's a Buy-To-Beta game, you're kind of forced to do just that if you want to experience it.

Idk. I can think of a few better uses for $15, including games that aren't Salem.
