Purity On Rubble?

On the salem wiki it is said that purity of any roasted meat effects the lard gain chance and that the base is 3%

Is that actually true and does this also effect the chances of getting goldflakes/blacksand/gems when sifting? Or the chance of getting sterling geodes while chipping?

I wouldn't include geodes in this statement. However that does seem to be the case. I say that based off of this.

1: my mine had rubble at the entrance 0% purity. I sifted all of it yesterday about 2000kgs of rubble. I got only 7kg of gold and 22 composite sand.

2: I sifted a lot of rubble from further in the mine at purity of 2.5% to 6% a couple weeks ago. ( do not recall the kgs but it was only a couple hours) I got enough to make 1 23/25th gold bars and 6 glass panes out of it.

So something about your question may have some truth. I am not sure if that was just luck or what.

Damn, thats some kind of poor luck. My mine turned up enough dust to produce half a gold bar and a pane of glass on just the rubble pulled from the first three or so rows of mined out rubble. I read the rest of your post though, and most of the rubble my friend and I sifted was above 1% purity though. A lot of 0%, but a lot of 1-4% too.

The rubble I sifted tonight was further back in the mine 3-4% and I got enough for a 1 1/2 gold bars and made 8 glass panes. Seems purity does play a role or just the luck of a red moon.

I dare to say some drop tables are completely different during BM.
