for years the republican party has been infiltrated and weakened by democrats claiming to be republicans, they are known as "RINO's" (republican in name only) this (along with unchecked massive immigration from third world hellholes, which due to the way voting districts work increases the amount of electoral votes they get whether they are illegals or not) has been the lefts strategy to eliminate the republican party for decades. water it down until there is no difference and is why there has been weak voter turnout for republicans as nobody wants to vote for a mccain or a romney and do so just to go with the "lesser of two evils"

every 25 - 35 years a genuine american wins the presidency and throws a massive monkey wrench in the slow death of incrementalism the liberals had been poisoning the country with, the last time this happened was when reagan got elected. trump could very easily be the next reagan and everyone knows it, that is why the liberals are running scared.
