Salem

All of the currently existing Salem subreddits are all but dead. We need a new one! I've just made one, and would appreciate some help. To qualify, you:

1. Must be a decently experienced Salem player and know your fair share of mechanics of it

2. Must be mature

3. Must have the aim of making the community larger and stronger rather than the opposite

4. Must know the basics of Reddit

Optional steps

5. Are able to make the subreddit fancier, including flairs, a banner and what not

6. Are known in the Salem community - Either a famous Youtube personality, have at least 250 forum posts or have left an impactful mark in the Salem history

7. Are 18 or older

8. Have modded/are modding the Salem community or other communities

Note: I will try to be as unbiased as possible and see past aged rivalries as well as I can. I will use personal judgement based on what I know about you, but I will not involve my own past relations to you. Yes Killface and Realak, even you are eligible!

Note 2: If I am unsure about you, I will interview you to get a feel of what kind of person you are. If you are JohnCarver or any other MM employee, you do not need to do anything other than give me your Reddit username so I can mod you.

Note 3: You do not need to apply to all of the steps above, but if you don't, I want you to have a good reason why I should disregard your flaw.

Any applicants may post in this thread or PM me.

Edit: It should be noted that I plan to go completely serious with this subreddit. I may even pay the Reddit-team to help me advertise the subreddit on other subreddits.

Murphy made a stellar application and is now accepted among the mods of /r/SalemReddit! I'm thinking of having two or three more spots for mods other than MM staff. Get them while they're hot!

Edit: MarpTarpton himself will now be a mod on reddit.com/r/SalemReddit ! Two spots remain: One for someone reddit-savvy, to make the subreddit look good and flow naturally, one to enforce the rules while the rest of us can not. If the subreddit gains some success, I will start advertising it on Reddit.

Actually, reddit has some system which makes new accounts unable to create subreddits (I think it is 30 or 60 days). I made it for people who want to make a new username to support Salem on that account instead of using their other reddit account/using nothing at all.

There's really not a lot to modding Reddit. It's easier than modding this wretched hive of scum and villainy.
