Silver & its deflation.

Postby NeiroShop » Tue Mar 31, 2015 11:00 am

hello everyone. I've just had something saddening happen to me. A person unwilling to sell their wares for mere silver.

Only rare artifacts would do. Has the economy in the game gotten that bad? that Silver is too easy to farm...

JC as a merchant i ask you to INCREASE claimstone tax or w/e to make silver work as a currency once again. :!: :!:

is this sarcasm or something? one person wants to barter fer items they need and can use instead of silver so you want to punish everyone?

maybe the person you talked to needs the item more then silver.
and maybe he tried to buy the item for silver, but was not willing to pay the price asked for it, so he IS willing to trade things for it.
silver is worth enough to warrant not changing anything.

every game has always had an upper echelon of items you will have trouble buying for currency, see no reason this one should be different.

I did notice a decrease in the value of silver, but it was something to be expected with the introduction of Debasement and silver veins. It is now increasingly difficult to buy cash shop items through silver but in the meantime the prices of artifacts such as WSS and Spider Eggs remain the same. Overall I see no need for alarm.

prices remain the same yet no-one seems to be selling. Have you had anyone selling a bear paw recently ?
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

No but bear paws are a particular case with the introduction of the feasting system and the fact that the bear paw is the best artifice for feasting (I guess it increases the scooping power).

The most useful of items are rarely on the market; vice versa similar items thus is why you do not see them. The same reason people keep WSS they find, instead of selling them, is the same reason you plan your home accordingly. The market has not changed since the game opened. Never did nor will. Silver has always been easy to farm considering rabbits are infesting every grid in the game. Silver veins had nothing to really do with that.

Though people have always been bartering items. Usually it is raw material such as metal bars. Another good one being rare curiosities. Not much different from H&H. I'll value q100 to q150 beer above that of no quality gold or silver any day.
Keep calm and stay peachy.

I really hate how no one haggles in salem. I try selling a item at a high price and they just go "oh.....nm....too expensive". NO **** YOU ***** MAKE A COUNTER OFFER. There is also the notorious "we need to get a middleman" ***** you and your middleman trade is off.

Exactly. Which is why I like trading in H&H more; no middle item such as silver to level the trading field. All of it is purely based on pearls or exchanging bulk items of certain quality.
Keep calm and stay peachy.
