your password is simple enough that someone may or may not have logged into your account

Well, my password weren't simple. I think Twitch panics because I logged in from 2 or 3 different places last 3 months.

Its not asking for your details, its just letting you know that those details (if they have been shared with Twitch in our profile or something) may have been seen/compramised.

I got this too. Can't remember what password I used but this kind of thing is standard procedure if they suspect that their data has been compromised. They're not asking you for any information. They're just insisting that you change you password if the one you used on twitch is the same that you use elsewhere.

ya im kinda blameing it on dislexa mostly blaming it on seeing the word "if u provided it to us:" as "if u provide us ..."

There's always the possibility of it being a phishing scam. We can't tell from the screenie because it doesn't give us any actual links. The big thing you can look for, these scams either don't go to the official site and it's obvious (like hxxp://www.ugotscammed.cn) or it's not so obvious if you don't know how to read the domain names (something like hxxp://www.twitch.tv.ugotscammed.cn). Always make sure of the site you go to. If it looks legit, a legit site from the company will be http://<subdomains here>.twitch.tv/<some location on their servers>. A fake site may have the domain name in it, but there will be other names afterwards between dots and before the slash.

this is frequent when there's a known phishing attack going around or there's been an attempt at hacks with potential loss of secure information. Enough people give some of that info, and they might be able to crack the files they got faster if something like the password or user files were stolen.

(Note: fake addresses. No idea if the sites actually exist, but don't bother clicking them.
