can any one help me figure out how witches work?
and how to tell if you are cursed.


so far i have learned that to curse you a witch has to be on your screen.
and you have to be standing still for about a minute while they do some kind of dance.

and if they are going to kill you it takes about 2 hours.


dose a curse always kill you?
so if you live from coming back from town for over 2 hours then you are fine? or is there other stuff they can do?

Witches could be reading this very thread. Perhaps they can curse you through the forums for talking about it? Best not to talk about it to be safe.

very little is known to the standard pilgrim about the workings of witchcraft, intentional as far as I know.
If its any comfort, some witches don't actually know how it works themselves

It takes about a minute for them to do their little dance next to you in town. It's about 10 hex squares in distance, so pretty close. If you move at all in any direction the dance stops. If you mouse click in any direction the dance stops. The Dance is basically them 'tuning' a doll to you which they can then use later to possible kill you or harm you in some way. They can only perform the curse with the doll if you are online. You will notice some of your biles or possible some of your other levels dropping while you are being cursed. There will not be a symbol for it. At that point you need to either log off or go and pay the priest at the church. This will stop the curse but the doll may still be tuned to you. I don't know if the doll is used up in the curse or if the priest breaks the doll's connection to you. The witch does take bile damage or other damage along with you as long as they are performing the curse. They will eat or maintain while they drain you. If your bile reaches 0 then you will die. They can perform the curse once per hour on you with the doll until you notice it or you are drained.

Also, I stumbled upon a field of mine with 0% speed behind my walls, pretty sure that was witches as well.

from the twitch steam witches will not have fireballs and stuff like that
it should be only curses/hexes and such.

but... do to how many times the devas seem to change their minds....... RIP purity. </3
