Since the Valley of Hinnom is a place for posts we don't want on the forum to be thrown out, I don't really see the need to then save said posts for eternity.
Hence, I'm going to set a purge on it. Threads that haven't been used for more than a month will be deleted from Hinnom automatically on a regular basis. I plan to do this in a few weeks.
I know there have been a lot of changes to mods and rules over the course of this forum, so if any of you feel there are threads of historical significance or whatever in Hinnom, let me know and I will review them and add them to the archives if they don't break any rules.

Can we have our say on this? Like, no.
Or yes. But I guess this is just an anouncement right, then you should close the thread.

It's happening, but you can try and save the bits you like for posterity. Post here or pm Meow.

I guess the better question would be, are we just talking the "Hinnom" section (posts sent to die, but had a "no delete" policy) or are we talking the archives? I think the entirety of the archives from older worlds should be left if the intention is to add them to the purge. I know that disk space for a forum this size isn't really an issue. I know that certain other large, very popular sites had a huge uproar when they changed things around and the old threads weren't accessible anymore.

No, I'm not touching the Mark 1 archives. They will remain. I'm asking anyone who thinks there is a thread in Hinnom that was put there unjustifiably and who wants to see it sent to the archives instead, where it will be saved, should PM me or post it here.

For alot of the stuff that is in hinnom or that you want to delete, do you perma delete it? or do you save a backup in-case anything was said you need to ever refer to?

If it was deleted, think about the hole in your post count.
