I'm looking to gather some people to play a dedicated match of Civ 5.

Does anyone play?

I disagree, I personally was somewhat disappointed by Civ:BE.
For me it feels more like a Civ5 mod, some aspects are copied from Civ5, some are simply missing and by having only a handful of new mechanics it lacks overall individuality.
Also I think it needs some more polishing and bug-fixing.

Totally getting the gold edition in a year or two though, I believe it's an ok game and with an expansion or two it should be pretty good.
Even if it's not, the fact alone that they made a demo available deserved my respect, it's a good thing from the older days, that should be employed more.

CiV 5 was also bad until the xpacks ;) I can't wait to see what they add to it.

Can't argue with that :)
Yeah, me too. Hope they rework the trade routes.

I hope they turn up the AI more. It seems like as long as i have a trade route everyone loves me no matter what i do. In CIV 5 I would have some ******* like Alexander invading turn 20 almost every time. Next game I'm going to turn up the difficulty much higher and see what goes down.
