OMG I have never thought going hunting is this fun! I have a slingshot and I do BAM! Then a punch in the face and they're down! God I love cricket hunting!

Yeah, I have to carry my halberd while I'm farming just clear them from my fields.

True, but it can be pretty easy to find a match if the biome is distinct.
Not that this particular guy is very much at risk in random wilderness, but you may not want to post the minimap of your home base.

I know exactly where they are. I will have some fun hunting now too.
