For the record I think that snowden is a traitor.

I wouldnt even call spying illegal any more, more of something that is frowned apon by most, and only people get upset when others are caught spying, more of a foot in mouth problem tbh. We all know most nations with space programs have spy sat's, most nations have some kind of person on the inside in the other countrys playing the long con, etc, deep under cover for the last 30 years kind of thing. Ignorance really is bliss to most.

As for snowden being a traitor, I want to ask why do you think that? What has he done that has directly harmed the US or any citizen so far to date? I really know little about the subject other than he stole **** tons of US secrets, that is mostly so deeply encrypted it will never see the light of day and now lives in russia so that the americans cannot touch him.

However, since he has moved to russia, the russians have become very ballsy in military activity.

Holy **** you kids are stupid you like to talk out of your ass a lot of diplomats are spies, and spying isn't illegal for them since they have diplomatic immunity every country under the same acts allow for this rule where diplomats are above the law thats why you have diplomats raping college girls and just getting sent back to their country they reside in, you cannot incarcerate a diplomat even if he murdered someone, in a country like us or russia, they would just send them back home, if the diplomat isn't a king or some type of prince theyre more than likely spies.

My main problem with him is that if a country or more importantly a hacker group didn't know what the US did then they now do and are currently using it against everyone. He had legal options he could of took to stop the spying instead of leaking and running like a *****.

I don't think anything he took was encrypted. When you work on a gov network you only have access to certain things due to IA giving you only the exact permissions you need. Only thing that would of been encrypted would be emails which he could view at anytime if he still had his CAC or copied them to a document.

how would it work then? Snowden worked for the NSA, everything they do is super secret (u never watched xfiles?) so how would u stop actions from a super secret agency wich probably not even obama knows nor the american citizens, his only option was going public.

If you are going to actually use the X-files as a example of your knowledge of the NSA or how gov policies work then we should stop the thread right here.

You may have that opinion, and keep it, I think he is an attention *****, but then was afraid a little... at least he did something right.

Yes, spying on order of the USA.
Don't forget that Germany, technically, still is occupied by US forces, there are some formal "mistakes" and things "missing" that actually prevent Germany from correctly being a sovereign country on its own, but well, thats details.

UK and France was also caught spying. Are they also occupied by the US? China also spys constantly on everyone. Good ol USA getting all other countries to spy on each other.

I also wouldn't call germany occupied at all.
