So... I guess Salem has been released now? At least, that's what mmorpg.com says

I wonder if Salem were in BETA around the time of Ultima Online or before WoW people would approach this game with a different mentality.

I would pay no heed to MMORPG.com
The place is full of hate for anything that does not have mass appeal.
Current games have spoiled many players and they really dont know what to do if a game does not hold their hand and guide them every step of the way.
That being said the whole bear thing does sound kind of like an exploit to me. If players are not ment to be able to attack each other in town then this should not be legit either.
If on the other hand it was fair game to attack and kill in town then I would see no issues with this at all.

Ah.. ok.. I am new here and was only giving my take on the matter.
