Sounds like the notorious iron tribute to me. Gotta wonder...just what are they doing with all that iron? Making LLs to train combat alts? Spamming braziers in their towns?

Tribute? For me it was a win win.
Smelting is kinda my heroin but I suck at trading and had no stall. They took any iron I had and paid me for it 45s a pop. I was happy being able to cash in the iron, they were happy they had a reliable and cheap supplier. I had no deadlines or no "minimum quantity" or any other demands - just make and sell us iron and we offer you protection. Simple as that. I believe striking such a deal would not be possible with MM.

And by protection i dont mean protection from THEM. They actually asked me if anyone was causing me trouble.
