I started a new character earlier today for research purpose and I was surprised to find out that the so called tutorial is completely gone. Instead new characters (players) are presented with the immediate suggestion to use a wilderness guide with 5 random spawns (one which will be final).

I don't see how this actually helps new players. Every game I have played have had some sort of introduction to the game to give a kick-start. Even the previous "Leave Boston, find/make inspirational, learn 'Survival Skills', return to Boston & speak to guide" was better than what is available now.

If you was able to build stuff on boston land it might be good also. but in that case you would need some sort of war mecanics so people could start war against people building on safer land then in the wilderness and also then you need to make the items and everything less good inside boston then outside so it would be worth alot more to go out into the wild.
( as a side note also in eve you can build in safe space but then on the other hand you have to make alot of missions for the faction owning the land to get good standing towards them and also have a group or as its called corp to be able to build there (but can still not build everything) and all corps can be war declared and then killed in safe space also during war.also in safe space you got police attacking attackers of people but people can still make suicide murdering.)

so to sum it up eather way you can not have a game where you got any land that is totaly safe and still be able to build the same things and get same advantage as on not safe land.

Salem will fail because it´lacks alot of the big parts of irl in it.
Why can't we build bathrooms?
My character never pees?
Why can't we build a shower?
why don't we have a car to drive when going far away?
Why can't i invent something?
Like a bomb maybe or cyanide?

PLEASE PUT IN A SHOWER and a toilet JORB + if u do not shower every 48 hours or whatever u might get some kind of nasty disease that will make u slower, and slower and after maybe 2 rl days, maybe you may only look like 4 x 4 squares around you because your eyes got infected or whatever, walking speed when sick reduced by 90%?
We never left, We just lay low and the lower we lay we stay connected and make dough.

This is actually not supposed to happen. Report it when you see it, I do. And I agree, people just saying things like 'look it up on the wiki' is putting off new players.

If you notice problems on the forums don't just ***** about it, report it and it will be looked into. Not all of us want to read through pages upon pages of "qq this" and "java that" so a report brings us right to the problem

Welcome to 17th century life where toilet water was preferred to actual bathing.

In the dark ages Europeans bathed regularly... but then they got the idea that scrubbing your skin let in sickness and no one ever bathed again until the late 1800s.
