The enhancements specifically give bonuses to certain types of damage and defenses when in combat. Vandalizing structures is not a form of combat and does not benefit from any of the bonuses. The additional health on the update is not made moot yet. =)

If it's alright to ask for your opinion on something, do you think that the additional health on walls is mostly beneficial to the game or detrimental? Siege is an important element, after all.

Welcome, and surely it is beneficial, now to ruin a 1-3 month work of several people you do need a lot more time and efforts then before, i think that after this one complete base demolishing would be done only when Raiders were really offended or those fractions are at war. Otherwise it's too hard to do it if only for fun. For me it looks quite balanced for now.

That's right guys, stats from socketed items are dealing damage on a % basis. you have 100 Piercing power, that means its +100% damage from a thrust.

Raiders enjoy, with simple polished buttons and nails in a whole set (very easy to do), 200YB, you can do this damage too.

I dispute this until you tell me more about it. Nails do not give either common power or piercing. Using grimthorns and polished buttons in the maximum number of 8 slotted pieces of clothing I can acquire a bonus of +160, and I had a hard time putting together that suit even while cheating with stats and resources.

In order to get significantly beyond that I'd need to use something like etterfangs, snake skulls or maybe flagstraps?

Your idea of the damage model is also significantly flawed. The numbers pass through at least one sqrt on the way to comparison, so the progression is far from linear.

I'm not saying that this didn't happen, but I am saying that at the very least your idea of what the aggressor was wearing is wrong.

Without any gear I deal ~27 damage with 250 ybile and thrust.
Using 8 Snake skulls I could get a damage bonus of ~123% against a completely unprotected target, which would have me dealing ~60 damage.

So that's kind of in the ballpark of what I would have to have in order to deal that much damage.

That being said, we will be looking at making some changes to reduce the overall volatility and adjust base damages to take the new system a bit more into account.

Nooooo. Please don't adjust base damages. If you have to adjust, adjust the artifices/artifacts. I would hate to have to be at even higher humors to fight each animal. Can you imagine noobs trying to get high enough humors just to kill rabbits and crickets without being KOd more often than not?

L33LEE is notorious for using hearsay as an excuse to rage on the forums. He has no proof or evidence...just rage.

Also, forgot to mention that ~60 damage with 200yb against an unprotected target is what I came up with as well.

Longer fights = more fun imho :)
And we need armor with somekind absorption or health to reduce blood dmg during fights.

Stop talking crazy. What we clearly NEED is the problem followed by the solution 20+ days later. Get with it :!:

You confuse discussion and confusion with rage. A typical GH trait if you ask me.

I even said they wore no defensive items, but yea guess you missed that in your reading rage which you do ever so often.

Yea, it was not "hearsay" because you see that person Face down on the floor.

So its not "hear say" im going by what the person told me they were using, so yes they may have lied or got numbers wrong, eitherway, many agree with me, that the socketing system is slightly on the OP side. Even Jorb just admitted damage seems on the strong side, and they are making adjustments, however i disagree with the base damage adustments, i think the new socketing system needs adjustments first.

So yea, point made. lets move on.

RAGE!!!

EDIT: Please, no derail, stick to the topic subject only, your adding nothing but an attempt to derail and cause a flame war or will be pushing that report button for colsie to abuse more mod powers.
