This, IMO, is the sweetest part of Popham. It's exciting that the existence of animals in Providence may be directly dependent on the actions of players and that there's little incentive except for swaying the outcome of animals overall. If the witch wins then maybe the witch gets animals, maybe the witch just kills the animals they get if they get them at all, maybe no one gets animals at all until the next expedition, heck maybe they scrap the code and nobody gets animals ever as a punishment for failing the expedition and they never bother implementing the other more useful food items based on animals.

They've done a lot to make the game easier and more approachable to new players, I think it's totally reasonable to include some focus on meta features like this that are only relevant to large groups or dedicated individuals which have little to no effect on new players. It's something to look forward to when you know that gaining political influence and/or individual skill/knowledge can eventually lead to changing the direction of the game in a very concrete way.

Yes the server is old, no it doesn't need to be wiped. Have you been up north? I have, it's so damn empty out there. Have you traveled any real distance by foot? three hours of walking from town and where does it get you? almost no distance at all when you compare that distance to the entire map, or compare the entire map to any of the maps of H&H worlds 3 to 7 (I never played before world 3).

Scavenge old claims near providence was funny, 'till i mistaked a living claim for dead one, getting killed for justice. Gheheh. XD
I now live up in the north, too, and it's so empthy. No more scavenging... T_T
But lots of place to settle up and live a honest life U_U

I have seen areas in the south and in the north where chipping a lime boulder results in seeing purity lime which indicates that the lime boulder was pulled from the ground a very long time ago. There are no villages nearby and nothing noticeable. I say it is easy to run around and find a lot of stuff that is familiar of the server being brand new. Like it was previously stated you just have to travel around.

I think one way to easily fix the lack of motivation on popham is by allowing the pilgrims on popham the chance to immigrate to providence once the server comes to and end, or keep the server up and allow people to ship from server to server once the server ends and continue playing.

i have been interested in playing on popham, but the only reason i haven't is i dont want to put all his effort into a toon that will be deleted upon completion.

All that aside, i think the expeditions are a great idea and a way to keep the game fresh!

There is a way to immigrate to providence you can inherant from the popham character once the server is over. The inheritance is at a bonus with the family statue. So 45% without being scalped then plus the percentage from the statue I am at 75% means my character will come to popham with not 45% of his current biles and skills but with 130% which is more of a bonus than normal.

You spent time on popham made yourself a 100 bile character.

When you die you get a 45 (100*0.45 = 45) bile character if you are not scalped on death 35 (100*0.35=35) if you are. (Could be wrong about that but that was my understanding based on prior reading.)\

Now say you visit the family statue one week you get a 5% bonus on providence at the death of the server. This means that you get (100*0.45) + (100*0.05) = 45+5 = 50.

So lets say you visit the statue over the course of 20 weeks 20*5 = 100

So you now have (100*0.45) + (100*1.) = 45 + 100 = 145.

Now say you visit the statue for a total of 40 weeks 45*5 = 225
(100*0.45) + (100*2.25) = 45 + 225 = 270

It is a bonus not an addition to the standard. :D

I'm fairly sure that this is not true at all. I thought it stopped at 100% but I might be wrong.
