If you ask Russians today, some might tell you how much Ukraine profited more from the end of the Soviet era than anyone else, and how arrogant they became because of that.
If you ask a US propagandist, he would just say what you did.
If you just look at the facts, then you would see how many Russians lived together with the Ukrainians and no one really cared for all that until some people tried to rise up and gather power for their own interests, fueled by some massive investments of US origin.
