Tales of Maj'Eyal just went on sale for 2$. It's apparently a rogue-like on the lvl of Stone Soup.

Tales of Maj'Eyal just went on sale for 2$. It's apparently a rogue-like on the lvl of Stone Soup.

I've played it a lot and it is quite different experience compared to classic roguelikes.
The way the abilities and positive / negative effects are implemented makes it feel somewhat like a single player mmorpg or like hack and slash even.
I mean there is no hunger, no need to identify, no C/U/B status, no Gods, no grue, no scrolls/potions... yada yada.
Let's just say It focuses heavily on character customization and combat, but at that it excels.

I've been wanting to try that game but wasn't sure yet if it was worth it.

I've been wanting to try that game but wasn't sure yet if it was worth it.

At this point no. If they make the land mass bigger then at least there will be room to move. Right now it is a cluttered mess.

Sounds more like Desktop Dungeons, but with some depth added instead of broader character selections.

Always love a good rogue-like, but why can i never plan ahead and save a bit of cash for the big sales... /sigh. I think I suffer from the "Oh, shiny!" syndrome.

man ,you are clearly wrong ,there are 4 servers and every day playing like 1600-2000 people ,and you want to tell me this game is sucks?
