Nah you gots to wait

Btw. Nothing wrong with his vids. They are really nice. However he is giving a false idea of safety. Should have some sort of disclaimer saying what is happening and that people should join a town for safety or be extremely careful. He is acting like he is playing under normal circumstances.

If you've already got established friends that are willing to take you in then I don't see how that wouldn't be considered "normal circumstances". Some people go in alone and are chucked in the deep end. Others get carried by friends, silver spoon in hand. If this inspires more people to join towns in order to secure themselves then what's the harm?

Again because you are not intelligent enough to read. He is acting like he is playing solo. I understand if he is trying to protect a village but he is giving a false sense of security to people.

Ok, I understand your point now Dallane. Thank you for sharing. I'm sure GamerZakh will read and consider your opinion.

His video never said he was safe, his video never said that you should set up like this - his video just said he was coming back.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

You are clearly not grasping what he is saying if someone punches you do they have to say beforehand, or can you assume from the situation/circumstance, Dallane makes a pretty clear point i get that english probably isnt your first language, but from the context, and the initial setup of things he's being implicative.

It's like me saying i like big tits, i'm not saying i want to see them, but if a female were to flash me with her watermelons i would not mind that situation.

He straight up says that he hasn't claimed the land. Which is true.....cept for the village claim which in his current situation is 100x stronger then a pclaim. Nothing is going to go missing in his "little compound" that "isn't protected". I don't know if he isn't aware of how vclaim mechanics work or not but still.....

Again I state that he has some awesome vids and can't wait to see what else he puts out.

I like how there are arguments about how I'm making videos when all I've released is the announcement that I'm coming back XD

1. Episode 1 isn't even out yet
2. The first few episodes are going to be recapping the basics—getting started; skills; gluttony—as the old ones covering that are very outdated
3. There will be a video about the different types of playstyles—village, group, hermit, etc.—and their pros and cons, but I can't tell people who just joined the game to ask to join a village before they even know how to kill a cricket
4. I made it clear that I joined a village for protection in the video, but I also mentioned that I hadn't claimed the land so I'm not that protected (which is what hermits would need to do), however the video wasn't about safety anyway

5. As I make videos, my situation already can't 100% represent the 'normal' player experience. A normal player wouldn't be hunted by dozens of people for the specific cause of recording the death of a YouTuber (hunted back in 2012, I expect it'll happen again). That's why I wear the feather circlet thing in the video that JC gave me, so hunters don't mistakenly kill people dressed like me (back in the day, I kept my outfit specifically low level with pilgrim robes and maple mask). The purpose of the videos will vary, but when I'm talking about gluttony I don't need to talk about claim safety. If you want a single video to cover all the points it's going to be many hours long and it would take ages to plan and edit to be consumable media. Also, it wouldn't be financially viable. I needed a base to make videos from that wouldn't be destroyed. As there is no winstate in Salem, the process of playing the game is the point of the game for a 'normal' player, so death and base destruction is horrible, but ultimately part of the experience. However, if I get killed or my base gets destroyed, it would mean I can't make the next video. It would take weeks to get back to where I was (because I don't spend a lot of time gaming as I spend it making videos), where I could end up getting raided again. Unless, of course, I 'cheat' even more and just ask people to boost me, which I'm not doing at all now. This is why in the old series I didn't get to higher levels of skills (plus the hunters were getting more rampant). Salem isn't the only thing I do. I make various other series on my channel and I'm still a full-time high school teacher. If you want coherent Salem videos for these few months, this is the best way I can do it.

"He is acting like he is playing solo."
I am playing solo besides being under a town claim and someone gave me 3 lilypad bulbs yesterday.

"However he is giving a false idea of safety."
In the coming videos, I mention repeatedly that people can kill you, your leanto can be destroyed, and thanks to the 50 plague alts in town yesterday I pointed out how dangerous disease is, and these videos aren't even talking about protecting yourself yet.

To be fair, it is quite obvious that he's not playing under normal circumstances, as he is, unlike most, broadcasting his playing. I would argue that it's quite possible to play very much like he does as long as one does, indeed, play under more normal circumstances.

He also straight up says that he's under the protection of a village.
