Remember that there are only a small number of locations where they even can be caught.

It could be ocean still (that's where I'd expect to find jellyfish) but "saltwater" could mean something else too.... That's based solely on the evasive answers binks got during that interrogation. Worth a shot eh?

no luck so far though

That "S" tattooed on your forehead doesn't stand for "Super" ¦] (sucker)

Just kidding. Good luck. I don't have the patience for this nonsense. It got old back when I was playing EQ and mobs that had a 1% drop rate on a 24 hour spawn timer.

this thread reminds me of the "quest researchers" in EQ that would spend thousands of hours over years combing storylines and reading several year old bits of dev chats to solve quests that never existed or were only partially implemented and not finished.

Drop salt in the water. It could work like the Old Boot or whatever it's called in HnH.

There's no way he meant that you're supposed to fish in 'salt' water as in high in salt. That would just be too nuts.

Besides just looking at the code, I hope they actually tested this.

Another reminder is that there may be a specific sequence of moves you need to make to get a jellyfish. I've not quite figured the minigame out, but seems like when I do the same thing repeatedly, I almost always get the same fish from the same spot. Lures may change this, of course. I never used them much when I was playing (because there wasn't much use for fish beyond the earliest part of the game).
