I like the Cliff, Clay and Dirt textures, not the paved stone so much.

When will these textures be available? and will we be able to choose which ones are installed or is it all or nothing?

Also, Mods move this to Arcane & Artifice?

Like any texture pack you can always remove the ones you dont like as for when its available ... the quick answer is when i finish xD and this post shouldnt be moved to A & A because when im done ill make a new post there with all textures description and stuff so dont go deciding where my post should be, this post is for general discussion about what ppl like and dont like

I think the dirt is too much dark and saturated. Try to cover a whole screen with it and see if it's annoying. For what i see, it looks like it is.

All salem textures are strong and dark, but if you aim to improve the game you may want to search less saturated colors. The 3d shadows will darker it anyway, so no need to do it dark in the 2d texture set.

I agree with Flame: in my opinion the colours are way too strong. I'd go with softer, pastel-like colours. People that like to burn their eyes out can always set this up with their monitors.

I don't know whether you are awarem but Judaism once started a similar project: http://forum.salemthegame.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=12258&hilit=textures

I didn't much like the pixelated look of those textures, but IMHO he was on the right track with the colours.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I made the dirt match the field so if anyone doesnt like the dirt you can feel free to use a different texture however as for what this texture pack is concerned the dirt is staying as is.

The thing which makes it complicated is that each tile handles differently against different tiles, you would have do deal with each individual image to make the biomes smooth and ''random''. If you do not do this, some tiles have 40+ images and each biome can have 4+ tiles, they will be overlapping eachother and so forth. Preferably, you would have to draw borders and such aswell.

Point is, bumping down one image and removing all of the other files or simply copying one image will absolutely not get you to a nice modification. I gave up on this, basicly because it was very time-consuming and I ran into some issues with the textures on themselves. It is very difficult to make textures that are compatible with all of the other textures, or atleast make it ''nice'' to the eyes.

To illustrate my point quickly:
