Yes, sadly this game turned out like many expected it to - zero depth, zero gameplay.
Not even mentioning bugs or that things shown in some of the "gameplay trailers" are not in the game.

At this point if one wants a similar experience it is safe to recommend SPORE instead.

Just one of those things. A genre gains in popularity and then fades out. I think it was zombie games before space games.

True enough I did play Dayz for a while and wanted to play Life is Feudal until they made it not one big server but a bunch of baby ones. Rust looked interesting except that only could be a naked man character. Cant get into that either. Sorry not trying to derail just wondering why all are space based now.

Nope. Your characters gender and race are determined when you first create your steam account. Everything including the size of your breasts (if your character is a woman) and penis (if your character is a man) are dictated by your steam ID number. Before the female models were introduced, I was assigned a very angry black man with slightly short arms and a baby pecker. I haven't played since then, so I have no idea what my character looks like now. I know it doesn't give you absurd proportions. For the most part, your character comes out looking fairly normal.

Also, from what I remember, getting shot in the genitals does as much damage as a headshot.
