do not play the liberal word control game, they seek to redefine definitions and invent words to suit their agenda.

"assault weapon" is a buzzword that was created in the mid 90s by californian and new york liberal politicians that wanted to ban all semi auto guns, they failed the first several times and then started calling semi's "military weapons" that did not work because of course, the civilian clones are no select fire. then they started calling them "cop killers" which didnt work because 98% of guns used in crimes including against police were ****** low rung handguns and shotguns.

so they started calling them ASSAULT WEAPONS you know, cause that sounds SCARY AND **** MAN

this gun. the exact same model i grew up with from about 12 years old. is is one of the most classicly popular .22 rifles in the world.

Image

in california it is an ASSAULT WEAPON

see this fat disgusting worthless *****? she is one of the original writers of the "assault weapon ban" in the 90s that was overturned and has tried every few years since. one of the provisions in one such attempt is that if a gun had a "barrel shroud" (a safety device to prevent burns) it was to be considered an ASSAULT WEAPON

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rGpykAX1fo

she has no idea what a barrel shroud is, yet she made a law about it.

do not play the liberal word game, there is no such thing as an "assault weapon" anymore than if i were to bash someones face in with a brick, you know a weapon. that i assaulted someone with.

Actually no, that gun would not be defined as an 'Assault Weapon' through out America as it has no pistol grip.

Anyways, are you guys really going to bang your heads against this forever. It's now a standard term in America for detachable magazine, pistol grip semi-auto rifles. Get over it. They defined them 20 years ago and only the NRA nut jobs argue against it still. You look silly.

AS FOR THE ACTUAL SHOOTING:

The Anaheim CAIR (center for american-islamic relations) held a press conference with the guy's brother-in-law and is saying that the shooting wasn't religious.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/po ... 07e41be280

FOR ALL YOU EUROPEANS OUT THERE:

Just to describe how 'Merica is now, the San Bernardino mass shooting wasn't even the only mass shooting in America today. 4 people were shot in Savannah Georgia earlier today in another event.

What the hell are you talking about? Nowhere did I say that. I said:

Claeyt wrote:Fourth, 40% of all gun sales in America are now online. You can buy any gun online that's legal in any state and just have them ship it to you wherever. Just because there are no legal gun stores and restrictions on carry and purchase laws in the State of California doesn't mean that this guy couldn't just buy them online from wherever and own them there.

Like I said. He could buy whatever online, have it shipped to California and just picked it up at a California legal dealer or he could have gone online and then met a private seller in person. What are you arguing that I said wrong?

Once again Claeyt is a ***** retard, idk if it's against the rules to post guns on here, but claeyt would probably report it to the cyber police, but a gun similar to this is sitting, and has been sitting in my families closet since i was a child living with them Image Never has it been used as a threat to another person by any of us, just because some retard mudslime wants to kill people for his retarded mudking doesn't mean it needs to be banned. What's funny is even though it's banned in Cali it's still legal to have it since it was registered before the ban there so that fat pig, that doesn't know **** about guns pretty much failed. They could have easily made a bomb out of basic household materials, anyone can, retards like you think banning a gun is going to stop people from killing, you can literally make mustard gas from old pee, and bleach, so idk what you retards thing gun control will solve.

The Assault Weapons ban of the 90's had a time limit expiration (that was the only way for them to get enough votes to pass it back then) and was not renewed when it expired during the 2nd Bush presidency. There is currently no ban on Assault Weapons in the United States because the Republican congress has blocked it from being re-introduced. The Democrats should have renewed it back in 2008-2010 but were too busy expanding healthcare and they worried about alienating voters with new gun laws. Currently it would probably pass if they allowed it to be voted on.

IN CALIFORNIA LAW IT IS because it can accept a detachable magazine you ***** MORON who does not even know what the actual process for obtaining a ***** firearm is and is now trying to fall back to the "see listen to me guyyyys i am gonna talk about hunting n sheeeit"

by the way you *****, see THIS gun?

Image

well it is the EXACT SAME GUN as the other one, and is similar to what mine looked like about 2 weeks after i got it since i was a kid and wanted my **** to look "cool". the difference? i bought a replacement stock and a few butler creek magazines for about 90 bucks total and turned a few screws. functionally it is the exact same gun, in most of the country that is perfectly legal as it should be, in california you would be facing a lengthy prison term for "illegal weapons manufacture"   .

this is why liberals like claeyt need to be ignored by anyone that considers intelligence something to be valued.

yes, they attached a sunset clause because there were not enough americans in office vs the communists to block it entirely at the time. i was watching the proceedings on cspan when it happened i do not need you to tell me a god damn thing about ****.

no, it would not pass now. which is why the last several attempts were shot down in flames and why obama bin laden and his cronies make a point to stand on top of every dead body they can to push for it.

i really am done with you at this point, talk to yourself as you have already received far more of my attention than you are worth.

it is going to be hilarious to watch the claeyts in about five years when people are making any gun they want on 3d printers (there are already several different models legally being made on them, even with the limitations of the technology)

you can not uninvent technology, guns have been around for a long time and are not ever going anywhere.

there are 12 year old kids in honduras without shoes that cant read making semi auto guns out of car bumpers with hacksaws and a drill press, it is never going to happen no matter how much you delusional utopian ***** want it to.

From my understanding when I wrote it, California only had a high-capacity magazine law.

Going back and reading Cali gun laws it says detachable magazines of 10 or less are legal.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_California

Where did you find that ANY detachable magazine is illegal in California?

As for Assault Weapons in California from what I can see, as long as they don't chamber a .50 BMG you can probably get it legal without a pistol grip. I actually hadn't read the new bans since it passed last Winter and they are pretty tough on SOME larger Assault weapons which is good. No one "needs" an Assault Weapon for any reason and the sooner they're banned nationwide the better.

California law actually addresses the issue of 3d printers and makes it illegal to "make" any banned guns already.

Please go then, and let us rational Americans discuss gun laws in peace.

for the new folks here this is why so many people on these forums ignore claeyt or just tell him to stfu, his method of "debate" is to spew endless clouds of lies, half truths and ***** so that you are in the position first of debunking a dozen different ridiculous claims. he ignores you outright when you call him on his ***** and immediately starts talking about something else or a distant facet of the original sticking point and then recycles it a few pages or posts later. you can see this transparency in his statements as he always frames them in a way that they are non committal so that he can attempt to twist and deflect them around the arguments given.

normally, were i speaking against someone that was not a ***** idiot and whom was objective i would educate him (again) on current firearms law and the various nuances and differences between california law and federal law which i know all about given that a family member owns a gun store and i have several close friends in the class 3 community (legal machineguns, silencers, grenade launchers, artillery pieces etc), but as has been demonstrated for the last several pages there is absolutely no point whatsoever in doing so, in fact it is a certainty that he will still be telling people all about "buying guns over the internet"
