How high do you think the weekly rent should be?

I think market itself should decide it. It should increase over time as long as all stalls are used, and decrease when stalls are freed.

If every stall is auctionned once a week , every players should be able to stockpile some cash to finally buy one and try to sell "several" weeks production in one go : i don't think someone will be able to monopolyze 50 stalls for week . But as I said I don't know stall figures (not even my own stall ^^) and it's really easy to make cash.

Or maybe Carver should enforce this rule : "A single player may own no more than a single stall." more severely : some people own 4 or 5 stalls as it is i own 2 myself : by just taking one of yours :D

This can work quite well if the cost to buy the stalls was lowered to 10-20% of the cost now. You buy the stall - you still pay 35% tax all week - exactly one week later stall goes poof and any unwithdrawn funds go into your bank account - for free. That gives everyone a chance to be quick and buy one every week. Given that all the stalls will end up on slightly different timers - over time there will be stalls becoming available many times a day. You could even put a timer on them for full disclosure.

It will also give a lot of tears and a fun mini game of who can buy stall the fastest.

Given my current ownership of 2 stalls I can't believe i'm advocating for this.

I do think you should be allowed to adjust prices in an infinite range if the items are going to automatically purge once a week. You could see some gamesmanship on more expensive items - I wait to buy until last minute cause I know the seller will be there lowering the price to get it to move before it goes poof.

Regardless - simplest thing is no sales in 3 weeks = lost stall.

IMO the whole premise of a centralized dev-built marketplace is flawed. They're essentially planning our economy. Give us free market, you filthy communists!

I think I already said it somehere , but in my opinion it should be a rental : we should keep a stall for a week or two , at the end of it money is sent to bank , remaining objects are sent to postmail (with a limited time to recover them) ; and then an automated auction begin during 24H to determine who will have the ownership for the next week.

In fact I've been tempted to sell mine several times because I don't really need it , but at the moment it's really easy to make cash (in and out stall), even with a 1000s rent I think I would have never paid it (JC can I have figures for my stall?) since November : it's too easy for an hermit farmer (with a 500s/rent i win enough cash in the last three days to pay the upkeep for three weeks even if I sell nothing later^^), so it's probably insignificant for big players or organised town.

Making stalls auctioned every week or so will increase the overall price of everything on the market, I guess. That, actually, will open some monopolization ways, though they'd be hard to implement.

I think it can be in a way, that every single silver coin that is payed to your stall influences your rental term. So if you sell alot of small things will be quite the same that you sell an expensive thing once per few days. And each silvercoin gives you certain period of time of you being able to rent this stall, so if you don't sell - you loose it... smth like that.

You guess....-_-

People will just buy from sellers without a stall

Unfortunately now the stall with current tax rate can be used only to get rid of unnecessary stuff. And it is not bad.

I think need a way to decrease tax rate, for example a system of bribes to His Majesty. Each bribe reduces tax rate levied on the stall, but it will also increase the rent, because the owner of the stall takes a commitment to the His Majesty to maintain his earnings. In sum, I think that a bribe of 100 thousand silver must reduce the tax rate up to 5%.
