Sure, curling doesn't have deaths, but how many have died (or had such serious injuries as to be paralyzed) in sports like bobsled, luge, downhill skiing, snowboarding, even speed skating? These are things we probably shouldn't do sober.

But the speed, man, it thrills.... Nothing like flying downhill at speeds you probably shouldn't drive your car at in adverse conditions. Fastest I've gone downhill is about 40 mph (about 55kph) on a blue. If only I had grown up in the mountains. When I was growing up, season lift tickets were only around $200 US at most of the parks in Colorado. Compare that to $200 for just a couple of days because I had to travel and pay for hotel, etc. So yes, winter has my favorite Olympic sports.
