War Z isn't that great, but I'm waiting for the Day Z standalone game. I will be hooked on that for awhile.

I think Salem would be more fun with zombies coming out from the darkness to feed on the flesh of the living. Imagine waking up one morning and logging in to find your camp surrounded by a hoard of zombies pounding on your walls... doing a little damage each hit... :D

I think you want a different kind of game entirely. I'm not sure how people aren't tired of zombies, given how popular they've gotten in the last decade. It's almost obscene.

That said there is a bit of charm to having some kind of threat to an established village beyond just players.

when they go to more light area's they will start sparkling ?

I'm actually a fan of the more feral, bestial forms of vampires that more closely resemble a locus-like plague than modern perfect, super vampires. Making people into super-monsters by biting them is a strange concept.

That is a kind of undead that I could get behind conceptually. It breaks with romanticizing the undead and the world that they create and leaves more of an ugly, wicked taste in your mouth.
