The implication is that their focus is shifting away from Salem and back to HnH. And have either of them come here to claim otherwise?

And with this, I officially quit Salem.
If anyone wants my stall on plymouth I am willing to sell it to them for a lowered price just incase Salem is updated to my liking again

I wonder if Paradox has a clause preventing Jorbtar from doing stuff like that with H&H, given that they are in direct competition no matter how many people say otherwise.

Perhaps this is a breach of contract and the end of Salem :P .

Pretty sure fixing the lag in haven would of been a breach of contract too if that were the case. ;)

You people are silly.

What makes more sense? That the dev team of Salem would simply quit their paid project to work on the old pet one? OR that the dev team, after realizing that the method of weekly updates has resulted in a subpar game experience and are in need of rethinking core mechanics have taken some time off and, in so doing, made some necessary changes to the previous project to keep their former fanbase happy?

How quick so many are to lose faith in two people who have given us so much enjoyment. Of all the lows we have hit as a community, the belief that the devs would abandon Salem on a whim is unquestionably the first to make me ashamed.

I apologize for the derail. World 7, I'm sure, sounds great to a lot of people who were drawn to Salem based on the issues HnH was experience and/or because Salem was the new Sea Tribe project. I'm glad many of you will be able to play the game you've been waiting for it to become. But for those here who play Salem, were drawn for reasons other than HnH, and/or don't intend to leave as a result of HnH's update, you would probably do well to have a little faith. It isn't over until it's over and, honestly, I can't blame the dev team for taking time off to reconsider the direction the project is taking and regroup before potentially ruining it all by keeping the weekly feeding frenzy going.

Enjoy HnH, HnHers. :)

Been looking forward to playing Haven on a fresh map ever since my first time playing.

I am one who thinks that actions speak louder then words. Remember when Salem was first announced and the post on the HnH forums?

"What does this mean for Haven?

Absolutely nothing. Development on Haven has continued, continues and will continue as per usual, although with the less than weekly updates that you have witnessed for the past four months or so. As soon as Salem is released, we intend to bring the development of Haven back up to normal speed."

Maybe someone can answer this more accurately then I, but as far as I know development did not in fact continue, until arguably now, mid 2013.

Salems numbers with active development, have been on the decline. While HnHs numbers with no development other then the lag fix and some minor bug fixes are still in a sense holding strong, at least in comparison to Salem, while maybe even increasing since the lag fix.

The important aspect to take into consideration is the involvement of Paradox. Salem to them is an investment, correct? If so, then what happens when your investment does not make you any money? To say these guys would flat out quit is silly, but its always possible certain mile stones were expected to be met and maybe they were not. Add in this recent server issue which coincides with the announcement that HnH is getting some love and I for one think something is going on, but that's just me. I would really like to see an informative posting from either the devs or Paradox. They could make some sort of effort to clear the air and share with everyone where things stand and more importantly where they will stand in the coming days/weeks/months.
