Have to admit I love the art work, cutsy but not tooo much so.. almost an undertow of evil.. if you know what I mean. But hang on, thought art was Jorbs dept? You put him out of work? Or is he just too busy being the face of Salem?

I love the minimaps in those screens, much more readable than what we have. Are those just mock-ups, or is it actually possible to generate those already?

oh but we fixed that

Yes, please make those the unmodded colors. Blood = Red, Phegm = Green, Yellow Bile = Yellow, Black Bile = Grey (Or blue if you're going for a primary color kinda look)

I had the same concern when we introduced the new bars, but Jorb had a good explanation on why black bile and phlegm has what appears to be the wrong colors. I'll ask him to drop by this thread and enlighten us.

So; it's not Tindy who's trolling you, Jorb is the one having the final say about the graphics ;)

Thanks for the massive feedback! I can't answer all your questions since I still learn about the game while working and I don't make plans for future updates myself, but I will try my best to give you some answers.

I don't know if others here will agree, but a bunch of old HnH mates certainly all agree that the terrain looks terrible. Some areas have been described looking like dull camoflage designs, "like a chemeleon puked on my screen", an old knitted patch blanket etc.

Are you guys considering a revamp of the terrain tilesets at all?

I have a list of things that I would like to improve. It all depends on how much time I can spend on improving existing content. We need some new stuff now and then too :)

Droj wrote:Tindy, I very much like your work it has given character to the game, especially the changes to the UI.

I noticed a lot of inventory items have been repaced with new icons, will this be the same for old objects in the game-world, will they also be updated to conform with Salem's current theme? Ore boulders, bricks (as well as for paving maybe?), stone hedges (trees?) are just a few I think could do with an improvement.

Are there also any plans for a greater variety of character models and customisation such as body weight, height, facial expressions, hair styles and beards? (for both genders, lets not be sexist. I quite enjoy the thought of seeing a witch with a fair beard in the future! ¦] )

All icons have been replaced actually. We decided to enlarge them in the new GUI, but I think the change is more noticeable in some of them.

The character customization is a good idea, but it's a question for Jorb and Loftar. It 's more technical then artistic actually :)

BY THE WAY, why has the game gone through several graphical updates but we still have the same windmill grinder from alpha?

I think it's cute :)

honestly, sometimes I get a little confused too.

He is still doing some art now and then I think :)

I just have to know who came up with the eyes on the characters. The way the always seem to look at you without moving is just awesome--and freakishly creepy!

I can't really blame some people for wanting to hide that behind a mask. It probably gives them nightmares and they just don't realize it. ;)

I think the reason eyes seem to follow is because they are flat... Just like on the paintings. And because of that pupils are always in the center of the eye, no matter which side you are looking from.
