Find someone in your town that is known for being very stuck-up. Someone who makes it a point to keep their yard/house/life as tidy as they possibly can. Rent a trailor and fill it with assorted items you have laying around/take a trip to the local dump to get these items and fill the trailor. (Sinks, pans, children's toys, bathtubs, etc) Late at night pull the trailor up to you their lawn and proceed to jump your collection onto their property (leave the trailor for full effect) and go back in the morning to take a picture. Submit this picture to the "Red Neck Yard of the Week" on Blue Collar TV. Not only will you win $500, their yard will be displayed on the show for the world to see.

Take that same friend who loves their stuff organized. Tell them that you have some concert, hotel, or resort tickets for the weekend of april 1st and you can't go so instead you give them the tickets. They take the tickets assuming this is your april fools joke but the tickets are very much real and they have the time of their life.

Meanwhile. Place a craigslist advertisement in the free section that says that they are in foreclosure and everything in their house is free and the door will be unlocked. Call a locksmith and unlock the house. Make sure to state in the add that people are more than welcome to the kitchen cabinets, sinks, and toilets if they want them too.

Watch as your friend comes home to the shell that use to be their house.

APRIL FOOLS!

Convince your dad that he's losing his memory/getting old by asking him questions every so often that are related to things that have never happened. Start small and work your way up.
"Did you lock the gate like Mom told you to?"
"You forgot? I told you x yesterday!"

As he continues to have no idea what you're talking about you can up the questions from events.
"Do you know where I put my award from when I won that award and got in the paper?"

After a while you can start saying things like "You really have a bad memory, you don't seem to remember much lately"
Until it becomes common knowledge that "Dad is losing his memory" and he starts to accept it himself.

If he's the paranoid type this will have him losing his **** and on April 1st tell him you were ***** with him the whole time

Another joke I played on my Dad last year,

While watching TV with him for an extended period of time he's bound to get up for whatever reason (washroom, food, etc)
While he's away, turn down the volume a few levels. Do this every time that he gets up and leaves the room.

After a while he'll be leaning in towards the TV in order to hear it. When he asks if you can hear it just act normally like you can hear it just fine.

When I did this I had the volume down to the point where you'd need to have your head a few inches from the set in order to hear it properly lol, he's fun to mess with

April fools

What works better is offer to make your dad his morning coffee. In his coffee crush up tablets of Lamictal and Timolide which are two drugs that ACTUALLY cause memory loss as a side effect. You'll want to start this a few months before April 1st so they take effect. Keep telling him "Hey dad your forgetting things a lot more lately".

Then on April 1st you can show him the tablets and go
APRIL FOOLS!

If he is too mad to forgive you just continue to give him the tablets and he will soon be incapable of remembering the whole thing which is almost as good as forgiving you.

This thread seems to be less about April Fools jokes and more about which of jwhitehorn and colesie can be more horrifying.

There was a mud staxjax & I used to play called MUME. Every year the admins would do different crazy **** for April fools. The game was set in Tolkien's Middle Earth, and one year we were all given lightsabers, and other Star Wars ****, and the announcement read something like: 'Due to the decreasing popularity of the game, we've decided to change to a Star Wars based setting.' All of the notable npcs were changed from things like Balrog to Darth Vader, etc. It was pretty fun.

I wonder if the devs have anything in store for us. Though I'm sure theirs would be more along the lines of: 'Walls now have 0 hps, and braziers do 0 damage. We've also eliminated the crime debuff, and Waste Claims.' Would be pretty epic tears when no one got reimbursed for losses. :D

A couple of these are getting on the side of illegal. Remember that the rules explicitly state "Nothing illegal".
