Runescape 2007 Servers Return

I think the issue comes from a thread a few months ago when someone else started a sdiscussion about another game that just turned into a big attempt at advertising and several other issues, such as trolling and flaming, came up as a result. One bad case doesn't set a precedent for all other threads in the same general category, though.

Advertisement is what the one guy did when he game here and posted his game crap. Coles is just talking about a game that's interesting to him and others, like a post was started about Magic the Gathering.

I tried runescape years ago and it was pretty decent as a crafting game. However I hated the community and I want land to build on and such (now in payed version). So I moved on. Anyways, what's so cool about the 2007 servers? (No, honestly, no sarcasm, really don't know what is special about it.)

The difference that I see from this and the Topia thread is that the topia was was a blatant advertisement by the devs themselves. Threads like this are fine because it's simply looking for others in the community to team up with. I think playing other games together can only strengthen a community than anything. On the haven forums we have multiple threads like this and a few threads dedicated to new and upcoming games. It crosses into advertisement once it starts turning towards personal gain imo

Well, a lot of the old players (2001-2007) know that the game was completely different back then. Crafting, armor, weapons, quests, pking, prettymuch everything was different and that was the game that we all fell in love with. The game now is some stupid hotkey spamming, over-graphic'd (not a word, deal with it) mess and it makes your head hurt more than anything. 2007 runescape was simple and fun, I'm glad it's back

Ah I see, I used to play before 2007 so that's the runescape I know. I have no clue how it is now, except that I want land and a house...lol. Who knows, maybe I'll go back and give it a try. I'll let you know if I do.

There is a housing skill called construction where you can make a home for yourself.

Yes, currently the new servers are a paid feature. The vote is still ongoing though with the potential of it becoming free to play also
